As part of Philadelphia Fashion Week activities, Fashion Group International Philadelphia and Philadelphia Fashion Incubator hosted an event called Fashion and Tech – The Future is Now. Forty-five people attended this event, held at Benjamin’s Desk in Center City Philadelphia, on the evening of February 23rd, to learn how a shoe designer, childrenswear designer, and tech designer are all pioneering the future of intersecting technology with retail and fashion. The evening’s creative influencers included: Matthew Flail, Footprint 3D, Luba Khramova, Emily Rise Childrenwear, and Claire Allison, Closet Collective. These fashion industry innovations are changing the face of the market by combining technology and fashion to help their companies thrive in this new territory of fashion design. FGI Philadelphia members and prospective members enjoyed great conversation, light bites, and drinks as they discussed the future of fashion in Philadelphia.
