- Alyssa Thomas, Commerce Department, City of Philadelphia, spoke about ideas the city would like to implement if possible to help provide employees to places of business and possible tax breaks for small businesses.
- Kevin Parker, FBH Philly Fashion Week, shared dates for the fall season, kicking off Monday, September 18 at tented Dilworth Plaza with the current and graduate Philadelphia Fashion Incubator designers. Rachel Ford’s Made Institute launch party and fashion show will take place, as part of PFW on Wednesday, September 20 at her new location on N 10th Street.

FGI Philadelphia Roots
Sarah Rodowicz, Regional Director-elect, FGI Philadelphia discussed the organization’s rich history; founded here in 1947 by internationally renowned retailer Nan Duskin Lincoln. The group went on to partner with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and fund the museum’s Fashion Wing through a glamorous and star-studded event, the Crystal Ball. Over the years 1947 to 1983, Honorees included FLOTUS Patricia Nixon, Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III of Monaco, Brooke Shields and many more!
Designers, who not only attended in person, but also, showed live at the event, included Norman Norell, Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass, Ralph Lauren, Betsy Johnson and many more!
