Philadelphia Fashion Incubator and The Fashion Group International (FGI), Philadelphia have joined together to present an exciting series of public programs focused on the business of fashion for the Philadelphia fashion community for 2017, with the first discussion covering Fashion and Technology, on Thursday, February 23, 2017, 6-8pm, at Benjamin’s Desk, 1608 Walnut Street, 12th Floor.
The discussion will be moderated by Elizabeth Wellington, Fashion Columnist, Philadelphia Inquirer, and features Clare Allison, Co-Founder, Closet Collective, Matthew Flail, MSID, Co-Founder and COO, Footprint 3D and Luba Khramova, Owner, Emily Rise Childrenswear.
Attendees will learn how a shoe designer, a childrenswear designer and a tech designer are pioneering the future and creating at the intersection of technology, retail and fashion. These innovators are changing the face of the market by combining technology and fashion to thrive in uncharted territory. Light bites and beverages compliments of Sparkling Ice will be provided as guests network and listen to the discussion.

Launched in 2012, Philadelphia Fashion Incubator is a one-year residency program on the business of fashion. Featuring six annually-selected Designers-in-Residence (DIR), who receive business resources such as access to an office/design/work space, curriculum, mentoring, and more all within Macy’s Center City in an effort to support them in further growing their companies in the City of Philadelphia.
